How do we choose?
For playing, all PEERY tables are the same!
The differences are:
-
Table length
-
How they fold for transport and storage
Ask yourselves:
-
Who has to handle the tables?
-
How often must they be moved?
-
Where do they have to be carried?
-
Where are they to be stored?
-
Where will they be set up most often?
Then look at the following information about the tables' length, weight and how
they fold. Note also the types of hinges on the legs if you need to have your
tables straddle an altar rail or other object.
Keep these facts in mind:
-
A 24" deep table is adequate for up to four octaves of bells
if the PEERY music rack system is used. Music does not take up table space.
-
A 30" deep table is best for the bass bells in the fifth
octave. 24" and 30" tables may be used together. Just make them even across the
front of the set-up. Only your ringers know the difference.
-
Many choirs use 4" foam for bass bell tables with 3" foam on
the other tables. Simply adjust the leg length to keep all tables the same
height.
-
We recommend Alternate Rack Supports only if ringers
are having difficulty seeing the music using the Regular Rack Supports.
Now let's look at the tables!
